Walking down the strip in Las Vegas – Part two

After the trip to Venetia, it’s time to go to Rome thanks to the Caesars palace.

The place is huge. So many buildings and a small coliseum that it feels like a town on its own, just a bit of Rome in the middle of the desert.
With its “Trevi Fountain

Then comes the most awaited one: The Bellagio (thanks to Ocean’s Eleven)
The Bellagio is luxurious and elegant. Its shopping center hosts all the haute couture designers. In the lobby there are glass flowers on the ceiling creating a peaceful atmosphere when you arrive.
Further down there is a “garden” with lots of flowers and bugs. Despite the crowd you feel like sitting down and enjoying the indoor garden.

Overall the casino has a lot of light, that’s a big difference vs. Treasure Island where the decorum puts you in the dark. By far my favorite and if I ever come back to Vegas I will stay there.

The Bellagio is also famous for the water show performed in front of the hotel. Really, really nice. The best free show of the Strip. We watched it several times, day and night.

Joy, this one is for you: watch here a video of the water show.
PS: it’s the first time I used the video from the iPhone. It’s not high quality but it still gives an idea of what this is about.

From the Bellagio there is an amazing view on Paris, the casino supposed to take you to Paris. That’s the one with a mini Eiffel Tower. Felt good to see a bit of Paris in the middle of the desert, even if it’s all fake.
Last but not least, New York New York, inspired by New York city and that has a rollercoaster than runs into it, and MGM Grand.

That’s how far we’ve been on the Strip.
