Death Valley - Stop #4: Artists Palette

Artists Palette is an area in the mountains where one can see a sea of colors. When the area was formed (some 40 to 3 millions of years ago), the tectonic movements brought together sediment and volcanic rocks. Each of the mineral has a different color and in that area they are displayed next to each other, like paint on the palette of an artist.

This mix of colors in the rocks is truly incredible. I’ve never seen such a combination. The challenge was to manage to get a picture that would depict what I saw…
On the road in the Death Valley, you can see some crazy landscape… it’s so dry, so white, so much light, so unbelievable. I have never seen anything like this so far in my life.
