Prague - Old Town Square

After passing through the Powder Tower and walking down the street, you arrive at the Old Town Square, Prague's masterpiece, where you will find the Old Town Hall, the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn, and more importantly the Astronomical Clock.
The Clock is THE attraction of Prague. Everybody comes to see it and I will tell you why. But first let's have a look at the square. Once again a postcard impression, so beautiful. It must be really nice to live in Prague and have access to such a square whenever you want.

What's really amazing in Prague is that every building in the Old Town has some decoration of some sort: painted or sculpture. Everywhere you look something catches your attention. It feels like you will never fully know it as each time you look you will notice something you hadn't seen before.

Surrounded by buildings is the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn. It's actually amazing that such a big church was built and then surrounded by other buildings. Usually churches are nicely isolated so people can easily access them (and see them). Here however you need to find the small street on the left that leads you through a store behind which you will find the church's door. Felt like a treasure hunt.

Great pictures, the Prague Christmas markets are also held in the old town square, something I am looking forward to visitng next year. By looking at these pictures, I already know I am going to have a good time. So much history
