Prague - Castle

Once we had crossed the river and enjoyed a small lunch, we started our way up to the castle.

Truth to be told the streets are pretty steep but perfectly manageable. Those who had been to Prague before claimed it would be very painful so the girls were prepared for the worse… except it was not that bad.
The ascension to the castle was another opportunity to see amazingly decorated buildings. It’s almost surreal that one city can have so many of them at once.

Once on top of the hill, we entered the castle area .
Like in London they have guards at the entrance and the rotation between guards is a ceremony that occurs every hour. Sharp! Of course we waited to watch it.

From up hill there is a great view over Prague, nicely complementing the one from the Clock Tower.
