Prague by night

After 2 days of intensive meetings where I happened to represent the product that was causing a lot of troubles, we took a taxi from Rakovnik to Prague.

We were supposed to stay at the Apollon hotel but for some obscure reason they transferred us to another hotel. Apparently there was a storm and some of the rooms couldn’t be used. Given we booked the hotel on Wednesday they could have let us know. Still we wonder whether they booked us at all in the first place. Anyway, we arrived at hotel Olsanka and checked in. It’s supposed to be a 3-star hotel but all 3-star are not equal. For me it’s more like a 1-2. Even if the room is very basic, the furniture from the 60s, and the carpet probably never changed, it’s located in front of a tramway station that takes us directly to the historical center, in 7 minutes only. Of course after dropping the luggage we jumped in the first tram.

My first time in Prague and it is very impressive. The old historical center is simply like a postcard (except for the millions of tourists everywhere). I took a few photos but will wait tomorrow for full sunlight.
We found a restaurant with a terrace and had dinner in the middle of the old town. It felt like being on vacation. People living in Prague are so lucky.
After dinner we walked to Charles' bridge where I took a few night shots.
We were lucky enough to be on the bridge right at the time of the fireworks :)
