Werchter, but only for one day

Since I've been living in Belgium, it has become a tradition for Joy, Yann and I to attend Werchter's festival. Werchter's festival is a world famous rock festival that last 4 days, usually the first week-end of July. They usually have a panel of famous artists that is irresistible. This year for example: Muse, Green Day, Empire of the Sun, Pink and many more. There is a mix of new comers and well established artists.
We discovered Werchter 3 years ago when Pearl Jam was playing there. This year Pearl Jam brought us back to Werchter, once again, but only for one day as they were playing in another festival in Arras yesterday.
In case you wonder, my sister is a big fan of Pearl Jam, and when they are on tour in Europe she tries to attend as many concerts as possible. This year: Berlin, Arras and Werchter!
Right after lunch we left home and the Tour de France passing by for Werchter. After a smooth drive, a struggle to find parking, a 30min walk, we arrived at the main stage. We put the blanket on the ground and sat down, ready for 8 hours of concerts.
For once weather was perfect, maybe too sunny (and yes, it's the mark of my sunglasses on my nose :)), but despite the heat we enjoyed Vampire Weekend. Alice in chains was there, with a new singer with the exact same voice as the previous one (who sadly passed away after an overdose) but I couldn't recognize any of the songs... luckily Vampire Weekend was next and playing good music to dance on.
Them crooked vultures was next. Interesting band formed with former singer / bassist / guitar or drum player s from Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin or Queens of the stone age. Classic rock concert with 10min long songs with more music than lyrics and amazing live performance. Yes ladies and gentlemen, we've reached the age where we appreciate good old rock... like when we were teenagers... time is flying.
Arcade fire kept us company until THE concert of the day: Pearl Jam!!!!!
After a final song under fireworks, the festival was over :(. We walked back to the car, drove home, sneaked in trying not to wake up Wolfram and slept, hears and eyes still full of live music.
