Kuala Lumpur here we come!

3:30pm
I started the computer shut down and locking everything away.

4pm
We were in the car leaving the office. Direction Antwerpen central station for the train to take us to Schipol airport.

First stress of the day happened when we hit a traffic jam only 10km away from the station. Of course I was stressed as I didn't want to miss the train to my paradise vacation.
We made it in time, i.e. just 15min before the train. We quickly jumped out of the car and ran into the station without proper good bye (someone escaped my special station/airport crying).

Second stress: where is the KLM counter? In Brussels station there is an Air France counter where you can check in. But here, no sign anywhere. The girl at the info desk had no clue what we were asking. The first international ticket counter we found sent us to another one which had a huge line. It was 17:25, 5min before the train would leave and we decided to go directly to the platform. There should be someone from the airline over there. Well no. No one so we just jumped in the train and left Antwerpen.

Third stress came while checking in at the airport. Our tickets might have been cancelled as we didn't check in in Antwerpen (very not funny... we would have if we had known where...). After a visit to the ticket office and our best smile we had our boarding pass. Unfortunately not sitting next to each other but at least we were in.

At the gate we asked for a favour: be sited next to each other. The lady said she would try. And she did great. Not only were we next to each other but on top we got the emergency exit row!!!! which means space for our legs. Not as good as Business class but better than the row behind (that's the magic of being Gold Frequent Flyer)
Unfortunately there was a baby 2 seats away. Well we cannot have everything can we?

We're now ready for 12h of flight. Let's hope baby will sleep and movies are good.

Bye bye Amsterdam and Europe. Tomorrow Kuala Lumpur awaits us!
