While visiting our apartment and trying to figure out how we will arrange our furniture in the living room, we saw a couple doing pretty much the same in the mirror triplex. I went to introduce ourselves to these people who turned out to be one of our future neighbours.
Luckily for us they speak French, Dutch and English so contact was very easy. They seem to be nice people even if it was a bit strange that after talking 2min they mentioned to us that we should not be shy and tell them if they make too much noise.
Apparently they had bad previous experience with their neighbours below and wanted to anticipate it.
Fine but let's face it we have no walls in common so most likely we will not hear them. Still it's kind of weird when you meet people and they apologize for the possible noise they might make in the future after 2 minutes talking to them. Wait until I wake up at 4am, take a shower, drag my suitcase out and go catch a flight :)
