At 7:30pm we joined the other guests for dinner. It was quite a big dinner party, with just 700 guests...
Luckily for us, there was only one table for the friends from overseas. Pretty easy to spot in a sea of Asian people.
Daniel and Kammy made their entrance under the applause of everyone.
And surprisingly started by cutting the huge wedding cake. Usually dessert comes at the end, but what can you say, it's Asia. Different country, different habits.
It's also very funny to see how the Western wedding traditions are added to the Chinese ones.
After a few rounds of dishes, they escaped and came back. Kammy, of course, in a different dress. We were told that the dinner of a wedding is sometimes compared to a fashion show as the bride changes clothes quite often.
Time for toast! But first they have to open a bottle of sparkling wine and fill up the glasses.
Then their family joined them on stage for toasts: for happiness, for luck, and for..... many children :)
Last but not least the bride and the groom thanked everyone for joining them on their wedding.
PS: in case you wonder, during the whole evening there was a small music band on stage, playing love songs... but no one danced. That's not the habit.
PS2: THANK YOU Daniel and Kammy for inviting to your wedding. It was a very beautiful day and we were really happy to share it with you. Congratulations!
