For me a swimming pool is a place to swim and/or play. In a Las Vegas Casino a swimming pool is not a place to swim or play.
People sit or stand in the pool during the day, especially when it's hot, and have a drink, chat, make a phone call, etc. everything they would do while sitting at a table except now they are in a swimming pool.
Not a single kid in that pool, not a single kid screaming around. Only tons of adults enjoying a cocktail or a Bud light while sitting in the pool. There is loud music in the background and on Friday/Saturday/Sundays even a DJ. Everything to transform the swimming pool in a party location. In case you wonder, it is like in a music video, except real people don't look as sexy as those in the videos.
Swimming pool opens at 8am, I was there (thanks to a bit of jet lag), hoping that the crowd would still be in bed. I was more or less right. Until 8:45am we were less than 5 in the pool area. As of 9am the crowd started to show up. At that point of time I quit swimming and went upstairs to wake up Wolfram. I dragged him out of bed for a Starbucks by the pool. That's what you do when you are in Vegas.
