To make our trip easier I had booked the transfer from the Caticlan airport to the hotel.
At least this way we were sure to reach the hotel. At arrival someone was supposed to be there with a board with my name on it. But there was no one :( After some confusion and desperate looks a woman pointed to us a man who seemed to be in charge of getting people to their hotel. I went to find him, explained our case and was told to wait a moment. While Wolfram was standing with the luggage I was watching this man doing calls and sending people around. We waited. After 10min the man told us to come and we took a minivan. Boracay here we come! Well almost. 2min later we got off the bus (actually once again we could have walked) as we arrived at the harbor. We paid the ferry fare and got into the ferry. Sadly the seating area was all indoor so no way to enjoy the view to the island. Instead we had the chance to watch part of an episode of a Filipinos soap opera. Not a great piece of TV series I have to say.
We disembark in Boracay harbor under the sun (although the ground was wet so rain was not far away) and waited to take another mini van. That mini van was extremely small and it was hard to believe that 8 people would fit in there. But we did and started the ride towards the hotel. As we were lucky to seat at the back on the van I could take some pictures of the road (did I mention there were no windows?). Have a look here.
Roughly 15min later the driver stopped and asked us to follow him. We were in a small side street at the end of which was the beach and on the beach our hotel: Nigi Nigi Nu Noos e Nu Nu Noos
