I'm sure Luxembourg is a great place to visit in the summer. Because in the winter, it's not the most exciting place to go to. 1st of all there is not much to do and most of what there is to do is outdoor (unless you want to visit the museum of Luxembourg city history). 2nd of all many sites are closed in the winter.
One of the highlights is the grand palais ducal. This palace is so big that we managed to miss it twice. On top it is not a stand alone building; it's stuck between 2 other buildings and is not outstanding style so that could be why we missed it.
I do believe that we did not give Luxembourg its best chance by going there in the winter, but what can I say, we needed plates and it was surely a better place to stay than Mettlach itself.
Believe it or not, we were glad to be back in Belgium.
