On a bright sunny Monday, I went to visit the temple of Heaven. It's actually a park with 2 temples. It is one of the largest parks in Beijing and probably the most peaceful part of the city. As soon as you get into the park, you forget about the noise of the city. Some meditating / relaxing music is played via loudspeakers through the whole park and somehow everyone is quiet. I walked through the park, visited the temples, and spent most of the afternoon reading in the shadow of centuries old pine trees. Zen...
For sure a place where I will return.
