Counting the days

To help Oskar understand when Wolfram will be back, we put a sticker at the end of each day.

Wolfram will be back on the day with a star and Oskar can't wait.

Same for me and Thomas.

It's been a long night

And the watch is there to prove it.

Nothing is better than your parents' bed

Thomas is sick. He's got fever since yesterday. Most likely another cold. After a night interrupted with repeated crying, I gave up at 5:30am.
Got him, changed him, checked temperature (39C :( ) and took him to our room for is morning bottle (loaded with ibuprofen). Here is what happened:
From vertical to horizontal in 125mL.

Let's hope he gets better soon. I need some sleep too.

Don't ask

Don't ask why those have to dry on the potty after the shower...
Sometimes the logic of a toddler is really mysterious.

Where is Papa?

Oskar asked for Wolfram this morning when he woke up. I told him he was in the plane.
Oskar said: Papa is getting him a crane.

Expectations are set.

Evening addition: it has to be yellow.

Bonjour les éléphants

I know I already took millions of pictures of elephants but what I can I say, they are fascinating. So even in the Singapore zoo and with only one hand as I was carrying Thomas, I couldn't resist.
Oskar fed them and even Thomas reacted to them. After all they are big creatures.

Cé La Vi

With visitors in town, we wanted to do something special with them. So we took them to a dinner with a view. Our initial plan was to go to the restaurant at the top of the giant trees, but they cancelled on us on Saturday morning. So we went to backup plan, on the other side: we tried Cé La Vi at the top of the Marina Bay Sands.
The view was great although we couldn't really get to the edge of the platform.

The food was amazing. They serve Western Asian fusion food following the Asian way meaning all dishes are brought to the table and place at the center for everyone to eat together.
We picked starters, main courses and deserts and were blown away. We each preferred different ones from each set of  four but all had a fantastic dinner.
Let me show you:
The starters with the intriguing stuffed chicken wings:
The main courses with a salmon to die from and an incredible chicken green curry:
The deserts with an unexpected amazing green tea pie. Yes, it's green and it can taste good.
A mango sticky rice served on dry ice:
A simple fromage frais:

This was really fantastic. Thank you Wolfram for taking is there!
