Meatballs

At some point during the week I mentioned to Wolfram that I felt like meatballs. Don't ask why, it's part of the deal to have craving for things out of the blue.
So today my loving husband slaved in the kitchen to prepare spaghetti with meatballs.
Bon appétit !

Note: they looked so good that Oskar wanted some as well. It seems that he enjoyed eating spaghetti with tomato sauce and so did his tshirt, his shirt, my tshirt, the table and the floor. Kids with spaghetti is a messy business :)

Creativity

Oskar and I have been attending french lessons for three weeks now.
To clarify: they are not for me in case you think that after so many years abroad I would need a refresher. It's a parent-child group where kids are having activities in French. They play games, they sing, they read stories, and they draw.
The theme for this round is transportation. We've covered cars, trains and boats so far.

I'm not sure yet whether Oskar enjoys those sessions, but it's good to see him interact with other kids as well as experience many new things.

Stay tuned for more abstract art by Oskar :)

Torture

Yesterday I received this photo.
My mum bought the first fraises de Plougastel. Just by seeing them I can taste them and it kills me because I'm very far away from those.
Even worse I have to survive on strawberries from Korea or California which are pretty much tasteless.

So mum and dad, please eat as many as you can thinking of me.

One step at a time

Last month, they distributed Fitbits to people at work and challenged us to form a team an walk one million steps. The winning team did it in only four days leading the rest of us to think that all they did for four days was running until they reached the target.
This month they raised the bar and we have to complete two millions steps or 1400 km ( distance between Singapore and Bangkok.

When one of our team members joined another team, I convinced Wolfram to join ours under the condition that he could track his steps with his iPhone and not have to wear a Fitbit.

Challenge started last Monday and since then we are walking or running as much as we can. I don't think any of us has the hope to win this challenge given that we have jobs and families and don't want to compromise our limited sleep to make more steps, but we are trying.

Every step counts so we take the stairs, we walk while we are in a call, we take Oskar for a walk in the evening, we walk while brushing teeth, etc. in other words we are on the move non stop. It's exhausting and sometimes I'd like to just rest on the sofa. But we give it a shot. At least it keeps us fit - well for the two weeks we will try until the crazy guys who won last time will repeat their effort.

Wish us luck!
